Join us to explore one of the core principles of the Reggio Emilia philosophy: “The Environment as the Third Teacher.” Learn how to design nurturing, culturally representative environments that foster curiosity, collaboration, and hands-on exploration, adapting spaces based on children’s evolving interests through observation and documentation.

Participants will:

  • Explore the concept of “The three teachers of children: The physical environment, adults and other children.”

  • Understand the importance of offering an environment based on children's interests and needs. How it benefits and impacts them.

  • Analize of theories supporting process-based learning.

  • Learn new ideas to modify your environment as the third teacher and how to extend one theme into different areas of the classroom with sustainable materials and other culturally appropriate resources.
