Our FFN Pathways program offers free training and mentorship to license-exempt Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) child care providers, supporting their growth and the well-being of the children they care for.
New FFN-specific trainings are coming soon, and we’ll be sharing details by email as opportunities become available.

This program offers free virtual information sessions that guide license-exempt (FFN) providers through the in-home child care licensing process with clarity and support.
For providers who are not interested in becoming licensed, we will also offer Regulations 101—a virtual training for license-exempt (FFN) providers focused on health and safety in child care settings in late 2026.

How to Become a Licensed Family Child Care Provider Info Sessions (Virtual)
Interested in getting licensed and running your own home-based child care program and getting support along the way? In our virtual info sessions, you will:
Learn what it takes to get licensed
Understand the application process
Get your questions answered
Health & Safety Training for License-Exempt Providers (Virtual)
Not interested in becoming licensed? We will also offer health and safety trainings focused on child care settings, including:
Recommended health and safety practices for child care providers
Preventing illness, injuries, and emergency situations
Understanding state guidelines for safe child care environments
